Webinar: Expanding the Impact of the Community Schools Model—Tools and Resources from Two Statewide Coalitions

This free, 60-minute webinar will highlight the groundbreaking work of Wisconsin and Minnesota Coalitions for Community Schools. The Wisconsin coalition worked with national and local partners to create a community schools guidebook, and the MN coalition is making progress towards statewide policies and funding. Topics include policy, funding, sustainability, and starting and/or improving community schools. Additional opportunities for discussion and connection will also be shared.
Goals:
By the end of this webinar participants will:
- Better understand the various community school models and best practices–with a focus on community schools as an evidence-based strategy to address equity;
- Identify various strategies and supports for funding and sustaining community schools;
- Learn about various ways to support community school policy and advocacy at the district and state levels; and
- Recognize and utilize tools for improving and/or starting community schools.
