Project DetailsThis project provides capacity building services to the WI Coalition of Community Schools and participating school districts, including distribution of a WI Community Schools Guide, community of practice support, organizing a regional webinar on how to start and support community schools, and partnership with DPI/WSPEI to present on community schools as a parent-engagement and equity strategy. In addition, R10CC is providing support to help the coalition continue their community of practice and work towards sustainability of partnerships.
Equitable Access to Diverse Teachers and Leaders
Project DetailsThis project will develop the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), Minnesota Regional Centers of Excellence (MN RCEs), and Minnesota local education agencies (MN LEAs) capacity to support continuous improvement around educator diversification. The project will create professional learning opportunities, tools, and guidance to support the use of a teacher diversification toolkit and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Development & Implementation of Minnesota Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MnMTSS) Framework
Project DetailsThis project will develop a framework that guides and unifies implementation of Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) across the state of Minnesota, and that incorporates the values, priorities, and initiatives of the various divisions within the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE).
Circles of Reflection: Early Learning
Project DetailsIn partnership with the Native Education Collaborative of the National Comprehensive Center, the Circles of Reflection process fostered dialogue between Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction staff and educators from organizations serving Native American early learners through the summer and fall of 2022. The project then entered an action planning phase which centers the voices of educators and leaders of Tribal Nations to identify actionable, evidenced-based, and quality practices to support Native children.
Resources and Technical Assistance for Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to Strengthen the Educator Workforce
Project DetailsThis project involves collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, professional associations, and other stakeholders (including the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance) to produce timely and high-quality data on key components of the Wisconsin educator workforce. This work also includes a recent webinar on "grow your own" programs in rural Wisconsin districts and a cross-state community of practice with the Minnesota Department of Education on strategies for attracting and retaining educators.
